Overview
This site (Orboro.net) is a personal site operated by JD. It does not sell, share, or monetise any personal data. This policy explains what limited information is collected and why.
Information Collected
Server logs
Like most web servers, this site may log standard request metadata, including IP address, browser user-agent, referring URL, and the page requested. These logs are used solely for diagnosing errors and understanding traffic patterns. They are not linked to any personal identity and are retained for a short period before being discarded.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it: pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser type, and referring pages. Google Analytics sets cookies and stores an identifier in your browser to do this. This data is aggregated and is not linked to your name, email, or any account. No advertising pixels are used, and no data is sold or shared with advertisers.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking usingGoogle's browser opt-out add-on, or with any browser extension that blocks third-party analytics scripts.
Third-party links
This site contains links to external platforms (Reddit, Discord, official game sites, and similar resources). Once you leave this site, this privacy policy no longer applies. Please review the privacy practices of those platforms directly.
Bookmark lists (Tagstash)
Various "Useful Links" pages (for individual games, FOSS software, and similar topics) display bookmarks pulled fromTagstash, a bookmarking service. That data is fetched by this site's own server and cached briefly; Tagstash does not receive any information about you as a visitor from this. Favicon images shown next to each bookmark are loaded from Google's favicon service, which, like any third-party image, may see your IP address and browser details when your browser requests the image.
Now playing (Last.fm)
The homepage shows what music I've recently listened to, pulled fromLast.fm. The track data is fetched by this site's own server and cached briefly; Last.fm does not receive any information about you as a visitor from this. Album artwork shown alongside each track is loaded directly from Last.fm's image servers, which, like any third-party image, may see your IP address and browser details when your browser requests the image.
Data Storage
The site is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Cloudflare's ownPrivacy Policygoverns any data processed at the network layer. Analytics data described above is processed by Google in accordance withGoogle's Privacy Policy.
Your Rights
Beyond the aggregated analytics data and transient server logs described above, no personal data is collected, so there is little to access, correct, or delete. If you have a concern, you can reach out via the contact details on the platform profiles listed on the homepage.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect any changes.
